Mike, Joel, Vince and myself made the trip up. It was a good time and well done event. The fog pushed the start back from 10am to 11:30 which left us a bit miffed but what the hell, Red Bull needs the aerial footage and that's that! Once the event started it was pretty fun. Despite it being a 40 mile course which took the lead guy over three hours to negotiate, there were only four places where spectators could see the action. God knows there must be so much more out on the course to see but it is just too fat to walk or drive the little trams. We decided they have created a great course but they need to work out the kinks a bit more for the spectators.
If you listened really closely, this HP2 was asking to come out and play! Some of the exits out of the tougher sections on the course like the waterfall were very narrow and considering the way the guys were throwing and lifting their bikes, this baby is right where she belonged.
